The brother of one of our clients called the Viasat Operations Centre to report that their vehicle had been stolen in a parking lot. The operator proceeded to locate the vehicle, blocked the ignition and contacted the Carabinieri of Castello di Cisterna who found the vehicle at the place indicated. The thieves fled and our client went to the scene to drive his Fiat Panda home.

As specified in the 2014 Viasat Security Guide, the Fiat Panda is the most frequently stolen vehicle, with 11,564 thefts, i.e. 10.31% of the total, followed by the Punto and 500. There is a great “demand” for this vehicle for temporary use and also to supply the stolen spare parts racket.
