Long-term renting of cars and SUVs is increasingly liked and is becoming, in Italy, a valid solution to be able to have a vehicle that is always efficient. According to the latest ‘NLT Users Observatory’ by UNRAE, carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, 2023 continues to record surprising numbers.

363,542 contracts were signed in the six months, up 21.3 % compared to the first half of 2022. The Private user channel recorded 48,491 contracts (13.3% share), up slightly from 45,866 in 2022 (+5.7%). More substantial was the growth in contracts signed by Companies, which amounted to 315,051 (86.7 % of the total) and increased by 24.1 % from 253,865 in 2022. Among the various users, non-automotive Companies did very well, recording 262,403 contracts (+24.3%) and increasing their share to 72.2% of the total.
Lombardy is still in first place in the use of long-term rental with 32.4 % of contracts in the six months.
