The Viasat Operations Centre received a call from a client reporting that he had been attacked in his garage while getting into his car. The criminals had thrown him to the ground and stolen his vehicle. While calming and reassuring the client, the operator located the vehicle, blocked the ignition and directed the Turin Police to the place displayed by the switchboard. In a few minutes, the vehicle, a Toyota Yaris fitted with a BluBox® device was returned to its legitimate owner. Therefore, the incident ended in the best way possible.
In order to implement the capabilities furnished by the BluBox® platform, certain accessories and services added to the system increase the level of safety and security of the vehicle and passengers such as: emergency button, K-Key, V-Call and Viasat appS.
